Cell Therapies Pty Ltd

Managing Director – Ray Wood
Main scientists – Dr Dominic Wall and Assoc. Prof. Miles Prince
Established in March 2003. Cell Therapies P/L is a leader in the advanced biologicals processing and conduct of trials using autologous therapies. Cell Therapies Pty Ltd is a for-profit medical technology service business run in conjunction with the Peter Mac Centre for Blood Cell Therapies (CBCT). It manufactures advanced autologous and allogeneic cell-based therapies under TGA and cGMP approval for trials and other purposes. Revenue comes from fee-for-service trials run for international and local developers of new cell-based therapies. In addition to expanded facilities, significant upside exists for license income and equity ownership in proprietary therapies via participation in the development of therapies and conduct of trials in exchange for reduced fees.
Genscreen owns 22% of Cell Therapies Pty Ltd at this time.
Trobio Pty Ltd

Consultant - Prof. Peter Gunning
Established by Genscreen in August 2005, Trobio has been formed to undertake a chemistry development program against a novel intracellular target for cancer and other therapeutic applications. Trobio works with Prof Peter Gunning and his team at the University of New South Wales and is a leader in the area of small molecule inhibitors of a particular cytoskeleton protein isoform and their use to halt or reduce tumour growth. We presently have three development series - TR400, TR500 and TR600. This project involves the development of patented drugs active against such protein isoforms for the treatment of cancer and other diseases in both humans and animals. Trobio is a drug development business based on a novel platform target. The aim of the business is to bring a new class of anticancer drugs to the point of out-licencing the drug/s to a pharma partner for human trials and marketing.
(More information available under NDA due to further patents)
