Bioshares, Australia’s expert biotech newsletter published by Blake Industry & Market Analysis Pty Ltd has announced “Biotech IPO Window: ‘Open’” in its 28th January 2011 Newsletter.
Bioshares reports that Reva Medical and Bioniche both listed and traded at above their listing price. Bioshares said “The IPO window has certainly opened in Australia following massive biotech deals last year and an improved stability in global financial markets.”

Genscreen announces that the in-house RESET project has completed initial testing.
The intention is to eventually outlicense the Reset monoclonal antibody for optimisation and humanisation.
Reset may become relevant for diseases such as cancer (prostate, breast, head & neck) and neurodegeneration (e.g. multiple sclerosis).
The Reset project also includes the discovery and development of a small molecule inhibitor - designated as R200-series.
Genscreen’s R200 is being developed as a treatment for people a range of indications.

Ian Dixon, CEO of Genscreen Pty Ltd, announces that Genscreen is presently having TR400 drugs sythesised by a contractor. It is anticipated that screening results will be ready for review by March 2010.
TR400 is the development lead series of Trobio Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Genscreen Pty Ltd.
Two other development series are also under development for complementary applications - TR500 and TR600.
The intention is to outlicense TR400 as soon as a suitable partner can be found.

Genscreen announces the interim results of its preclinical development projects.
RESET monoclonal antibody has been produced and is ready for animal testing in cancer model.
RESET ELISA has now been developed and validated and is ready for use.
TR400 has been tested in 2-D and 3-D melanoma models and has also been tested in animal model of cancer.
